The Dallas office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Mary R. Korby and T. Gregory Jackson as partners in the firm’s corporate and commercial disputes practices, respectively.
Korby, who joins K&L Gates from Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, is widely recognized for her work in high-profile mergers and acquisitions and complex cross-border public and private transactions in the chemical, aviation, manufacturing, and biofuel industries. As counsel to both U.S. and international corporations, she has handled major acquisitions and divestitures in the United States, Europe, and Asia, and also acted as an advisor in the disposition of domestic and foreign businesses in bankruptcy proceedings and restructurings.
As lead or co-counsel in complex disputes in state and federal courts throughout the United States, including those involving many millions of dollars and highly sensitive matters, Jackson has obtained numerous winning judgments and significant settlements. Clients have included Fortune 500 and middle market companies, governmental entities, and professionals in the energy services, construction, real estate, oil and gas, retail, hospitality, and financial services industries. He also advises his clients in pre-litigation investigations and litigation avoidance in high stakes transactions. Jackson arrives at K&L Gates from Geary, Porter & Donovan, P.C.
“We are delighted to have Mary and Greg join us,” said Craig W. Budner, Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ Dallas office. “As one of the top corporate lawyers in Dallas, Mary’s international experience offers a tremendous resource for our clients and their increasing global legal needs.
