Clark Hill has announced that Jeff Harvey has joined the firm as a Member in its Corporate practice group in Dallas. Harvey joins the firm from the Dallas office of Holland & Knight LLP.
Harvey’s practice includes advising companies across many industries in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, private equity financing, start-up funding and venture capital, technology and licensing transactions, and franchising and dealership relationships. Having previously served as in-house general counsel to three global businesses, Harvey’s practice also includes counseling investors, managers, and boards concerning a variety of legal and compliance matters. He serves as outside general counsel to several middle market, typically private-equity-backed organizations.
“I am excited to be joining Clark Hill. The firm has a national footprint, international presence and capabilities, comprehensive scope of practice areas, top-quality lawyers, and a significant depth of experience serving middle market businesses their owners, investors, bankers, and services providers, which are a significant focus of my practice,” Harvey said. “The firm is capable, flexible, responsive, and budget-conscious in the specific ways that this segment of the market requires.”
As a former General Counsel, executive, and client, Harvey is familiar with client-side pressures and requirements.
“I have walked many miles in the shoes of my current and prospective clients, which allows me to empathize and anticipate what is needed from us as legal advisors on a given matter. As a firm, we deliver quality legal services and do so in a cost-effective, efficient, value-driven, collaborative way that enhances financial, operational, and regulatory objectives.”
“We’re thrilled to have Jeff join our Corporate team,” said Jarrod Duffy, Co-Chair of Clark Hill’s Corporate business unit. “His experience as in-house counsel and his current advisory and transactional focus will enhance our customer service and provide a unique problem-solving perspective.”
In addition to his law practice, Harvey supports several community and professional service programs, including the Texas General Counsel Forum, Dallas Entrepreneurship Network, Dallas Startup Week, and WiNGS Dallas.
Harvey earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University and law and masters of business administration degrees from Wake Forest University.
