Dentons Continues Growth of Corporate Practice With Addition of John Chrisman in Dallas

Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces today the strengthening of its Corporate practice with the addition of John Nelson Chrisman. Resident in the Dallas office, Chrisman focuses on corporate, M&A and capital markets matters. Chrisman comes to the firm from the Dallas office of Norton Rose Fulbright.

Chrisman has 32 years of experience advising governments, companies and financial institutions on US and international M&A, capital markets (equity and debt), private equity and venture capital transactions. With legal and business experience spanning more than 50 countries across six continents, Chrisman’s industry focus includes financial services, renewable energy, technology, oil and gas, natural resources and mining, infrastructure and entertainment.

Chrisman serves clients in Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East, and has lived and worked as a lawyer in Dallas, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Singapore and Sydney. He has worked on a number of high-profile transactions around the world and has acted on important corporate deals globally, including more than 200 transactions in India. Among his many successes, Chrisman acted for an Indian public-sector reinsurance company on its US$1.8 billion IPO, the second-largest in India.

Chrisman earned his JD with honors, Order of the Coif, from the University of Texas School of Law and both his BA (history) and BS (political science), magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University. He is admitted to, and in good standing with, the California, District of Columbia and Texas bars. He is also a registered foreign lawyer in England and Wales.
