Faegre Drinker Bolsters Finance & Restructuring Team With Partner Deanna Reitman in Dallas

Faegre Drinker announced today that Deanna Reitman has joined the firm as a partner in the finance & restructuring practice in Dallas. Reitman joins from DLA Piper in Houston.

Reitman provides clients with legal, regulatory and business advice on commodities. She has more than 25 years’ experience in commodity markets and more than 18 years of senior management experience, with a particular focus on energy, metals, agriculture, carbon and other sustainable commodities.
“Deanna brings impressive experience working in commodity markets, transactional finance and in-house, offering significant opportunities for our team to expand its work for clients,” said partner and finance & restructuring practice group leader Mike Pompeo. “Her valuable insight into transaction structuring, as well as regulatory and commercial advice in the commodities space, will serve Faegre Drinker’s clients well.”
Reitman draws upon her experience as in-house counsel for commodity marketing and trading firms to advise on the structuring of transactions, developing carbon and sustainable asset platforms/exchanges, and providing business-forward regulatory and commercial advice to clients. She is a skilled communicator and team manager with a record of success in achieving complicated objectives for clients.

Reitman earned her B.A. from New York University, J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and MBA from Fordham University.
