Intellectual property lawyer Robert S. Hill has joined Holland & Knight’s Dallas office as a partner. He was previously of counsel with Quinn Emanuel in Los Angeles.
Mr. Hill, who began his career in Dallas, is moving his practice to Holland & Knight where he will be the firm’s first intellectual property lawyer in Texas.
“Establishing an intellectual property presence in Texas is an important step for the firm,” said Joshua Krumholz, the leader of Holland & Knight’s Intellectual Property Group. “We are very pleased that Rob will be part of our team in Dallas. He has deep roots in the community, great clients, and the necessary talent and personality to help us grow in Dallas and nationwide.”
Mr. Hill focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex patent cases involving a wide variety of technologies. He has experience representing innovator pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman litigation. Mr. Hill also has experience advising clients on a broad range of intellectual property transactional issues, including patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret licenses. Mr. Hill further has experience with venture capital, private equity and aircraft finance transactions.

Mr. Hill received his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. He received his A.B. degree in biology from Harvard University.
