DLA Piper announced today that K. Randolph Peak has joined the firm’s Healthcare sector and Corporate practice as a partner in Dallas.
Peak focuses his practice on healthcare and life sciences transactions and regulatory counseling with particular emphasis in the areas of digital health and technology, healthcare privacy, and healthcare supply chain. With over two decades of extensive industry experience, Peak represents clients across the healthcare and life sciences landscape, providing strategic counsel and practical legal advice on matters that include emerging technologies, telehealth, data analytics, hospital operations, clinical laboratories, physician practices, wellness services, behavioral health and healthcare ventures.
“Randy’s experience will add significant depth to our digital health, supply chain and healthcare regulatory capabilities, allowing us to better serve the needs of health systems and public and private healthcare clients headquartered in the Texas market and doing business nationally,” said Marc Katz, managing partner of DLA Piper’s Dallas office.

Peak is the latest partner to join the Dallas office, which has also recently added Healthcare sector partners Danny Tobey, M.D. (Litigation), Richard Cheng (Corporate), Michael Moore (Litigation) and Matthew Nickel (Litigation); Restructuring partner Daniel Prieto; Corporate partner Steven Bartz; Litigation partners Jason Lewis, Jason Hopkins, and Rob Hoffman; and Employment partners Marc Katz and Isabel Crosby. The Dallas office also recently saw Crystal Woods of the Employment practice and Adam Pierson of the Litigation practice promoted to partner.
Before entering private practice, Peak served as general counsel for an internationally recognized health system and academic medical center, and previously served as deputy general counsel for one of the largest healthcare group purchasing organizations in the US. Peak’s significant in-house experience in corporate and healthcare provider environments affords him unique perspective and insight when providing legal counsel and regulatory advice to industry leaders and innovators.
Peak, who joins from a national law firm, received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and B.A. degrees from both the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas at Dallas.
