Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has welcomed a new shareholder to the firm’s growing Dallas office. Tara M. Darling has joined the firm’s nationwide Real Estate Finance Practice Group. An experienced finance attorney, she focuses her practice on advising clients on lending transactions across different commercial real estate asset classes. Polsinelli recently added a three-lawyer real estate team in Washington, D.C., and a three-lawyer commercial finance team in Nashville, continuing the fast-paced growth of its Real Estate & Financial Services Department. In April, the firm welcomed two real estate finance shareholders in Atlanta. The department has added ten new shareholders in 2023 as it has focused intently on growing its sophisticated real estate and finance practices that serve clients from development and financing through litigation and restructuring. Darling arrives from Cassin & Cassin LLP.
“Tara brings deep commercial real estate finance experience that will strengthen our existing real estate finance bench. Her focus on multifamily agency lending is a great complement to our diverse CRE lending practice,” said John T. Duncan III, Chair of Polsinelli’s Real Estate Finance Practice and the Financial Services Division.
“Tara represents a meaningful addition to our nationwide real estate team, which we have been strategically expanding in core areas over the past several years,” said Brian A. Bullard, Office Managing Partner of Polsinelli’s Dallas office. “Her arrival also reinforces our long-term commitment to servicing the Dallas real estate/private equity market where we remain optimistic about our planned growth strategy and are excited that the Dallas office is now Polsinelli’s fifth largest office.”
The firm also recently promoted three new shareholders in the Dallas office as part of its nationwide new shareholder class of 30.
Darling said, “I am excited to be here. Polsinelli’s entrepreneurial approach, collaborative culture and strategic growth plan are what first attracted me to the firm. These unique attributes have allowed Polsinelli to provide its clients with a diverse and vast real estate services platform. I look forward to continuing to successfully represent lender clients in their origination and servicing of multifamily loans while also utilizing Polsinelli’s expertise to offer a wider range of services.”
Joining Polsinelli from a real estate law firm, Darling represents buyers, sellers and lenders in complex lending transactions. She has extensive experience representing lenders in the financing of multifamily properties through the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting & Servicing Program and the Freddie Mac Seller-Servicer Program.
