Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that trial and appellate litigator Andrew D. Graham has joined the firm as of counsel in its Litigation Practice, based in Dallas. Mr. Graham arrives from Jackson Walker LLP.
“With a proven track record in shareholder derivative suits and securities fraud actions and an intimate knowledge of the appellate courts across Texas and the Texas Supreme Court, Andrew will be a strong asset to our firm and clients,” said Michael Forshey, managing partner of the Squire Patton Boggs Dallas office. “Andrew adds depth to our litigation team here in Dallas, while building upon the firm’s strategic expansion plans for the Texas market and across our global platform.”
Mr. Graham has extensive litigation experience in trial and appellate courts in a wide variety of matters, including fiduciary duties, contractual disputes, corporate governance, privacy issues, and indemnity claims. Mr. Graham also has experience in a range of industries and sectors, including oil and gas, banking, private equity, media, and aviation. Among his career highlights includes playing a vital role on a shareholder derivative litigation team that obtained a US$38 million recovery for SandRidge Energy, Inc. and substantial corporate governance reforms.
A staple in the Dallas community, Mr. Graham is the chairman of the Texas Law Dallas Alumni Steering Committee, former Texas chairman of the ABA Council of Appellate Lawyer, and a Dallas Fellow of the National Review Institute. Mr. Graham received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Hyer Society, and received the University Achievement Award. Mr. Graham also received his A.M from the University of Chicago and M.St. from Oxford (Oriel College). Mr. Graham received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
