Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Jon Mureen has joined the firm as principal in its Global Litigation Practice, based in Dallas.
“The addition of Jon and his skills as an experienced trial lawyer for sophisticated disputes presents an exciting opportunity to continue the expansion of our litigation capabilities in the Texas market and across the firm’s global platform,” said Michael Forshey, managing partner of the Squire Patton Boggs Dallas office.
Mr. Mureen is frequently called on to take high-stakes cases to trial, sometimes late in the litigation. His practice focuses on energy, business, and shareholder litigation.
“Joining Squire Patton Boggs gives me the chance to collaborate with a team of talented lawyers across its 44 offices,” said Mr. Mureen. “The dexterity and resourcefulness of the firm’s global litigation practice will enable me to solve clients’ biggest and most important legal problems wherever they are and whatever the subject.”
Before joining Squire Patton Boggs, Mr. Mureen was a partner at a trial boutique and senior associate at an international law firm. He earned his B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin and J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. Mr. Mureen began his career with a clerkship for the Honorable Sidney A. Fitzwater, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
In addition to Mr. Mureen, the Global Litigation Group welcomed Dylan O. Drummond, who joined as of counsel in Dallas in July.
