Trial attorney Tricia DeLeon has joined Holland & Knight as a litigation partner in the firm’s Dallas office. She will also be a member of the firm’s Financial Services Industry Group. Ms. DeLeon was previously a partner at Gruber Hail Johansen Shank and Bracewell.
“Tricia’s experience and reputation with financial institutions makes her a perfect match for our Dallas office, which has an extensive roster of banking clients,” said John Hogan, chair of Holland & Knight’s Litigation Section. “Her arrival, coming on the heels of our hiring of commercial litigator David Schulte, will add even more strength to our powerhouse team.”
Ms. DeLeon has more than 18 years of business litigation experience in matters spanning many industries. She has considerable experience handling matters for financial institutions, including bankruptcy and creditors’ rights issues and director and officer insurance disputes. She has represented community banks, nontraditional lenders, investors and borrowers in litigation and in pre-suit, workout negotiations. Ms. Deleon has also represented bankruptcy trustees and receivers in pursuing fraudulent transfers and preference claims pursuant to the Bankruptcy Code and the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act. She is also a FINRA arbitrator. Ms. DeLeon is recognized as a leading attorney in her practice by Texas Super Lawyers.

A graduate of Leadership Dallas, Ms. DeLeon is very active in the community. She served as chair of the board of directors for Thrive Women’s Clinic, is a trustee for the Dallas Bar Foundation and is committed to having at least one pro bono case on her docket at all times.
Ms. DeLeon earned a B.A. degree from DePauw University and a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
