Lathrop & Gage LLP announced today that Jon Trembath has joined the firm’s Denver office as a partner. Trembath’s practice is focused on intellectual property litigation.
Trembath brings more than 20 years of intellectual property litigation experience, primarily focused on patent litigation, to the firm’s growing intellectual property presence in Colorado. He has strong analytic and communications skills, as demonstrated by his ability to explain complex technology in a straightforward and uncomplicated manner. Trembath has won all of the appeals the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit he has been in control of. His experience also includes successfully obtaining ex parte seizure orders, even with unregistered trademarks, and litigating color and other trademark and right of publicity claims.
He previously served as the vice chair of the IPO committee on U.S. patent law and is a founding board member and current president of the Colorado IP Inn of Court. He is a frequent speaker and author on IP issues. Prior to joining the firm he served as a partner at the IP boutique law firm of Merchant & Gould. He also served as a clerk for Chief Judge Radar of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Trembath follows the recent addition of Greenlee Sullivan P.C. attorneys to the firm’s Boulder office, an addition that made Lathrop & Gage one of Colorado’s largest intellectual property practices.
