Seasoned Litigator John Voorhees Joins Greenberg Traurig’s Denver Office

John Voorhees, a litigator with 36 years’ experience has joined international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Denver. He will focus his practice in the areas of environmental, health care and white collar crime.

Voorhees has co-authored three books and dozens of articles on how to create solutions and craft legal strategies to reduce legal risk. He is a tested problem-solver with established relationships connecting clients with key government agencies and policymakers. His litigation background includes convicting E.F. Hutton for money laundering and defending corporations and resolving criminal investigations with civil dispositions. Voorhees has defended Superfund, Clean Water Act, and a wide variety of other environmental civil and criminal cases. He has also represented hospitals in disputes with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (“CMS”). Most recently, he has litigated hospitals’ Medicare reimbursement claims against CMS.

Prior to his work in private practice, Voorhees spent 11 years serving as a federal prosecutor in the Organized Crime & Racketeering Section of the United States Department of Justice. He received his juris doctorate from Catholic University of America and a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College.
