Armstrong Teasdale proudly announces that five attorneys have joined the firm. Partner Crystal L. Howard and Associate Pamela J. Winter join in Kansas City; Senior Counsel Sheri Kelly-Rabolt and Partner Kate T. Schroepfer join in Denver; and Partner Untress Quinn joins in St. Louis. They complement more than 530 attorneys and staff firmwide.
Howard is a skilled tax attorney in the firm’s Corporate Services practice group. She counsels clients on a wide range of federal income tax matters, including those related to business transactions. Howard regularly advises partnerships and corporations on tax matters in the context of entity formation, reorganization and dissolution. She also provides guidance on tax controversies at the federal, state and local levels, including before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state agencies.
Kelly-Rabolt is an experienced attorney representing national and community banks, as well as finance companies, in multimillion-dollar real estate transactions and foreclosures. Her practice primarily focuses on real estate and commercial loan structuring, loan workouts and restructurings, and public trustee foreclosures. Kelly-Rabolt has extensive experience negotiating, documenting and structuring syndicated and single-lender transactions, letters of credit and intercreditor arrangements.
Quinn is a seasoned trial lawyer, focusing on the defense of medical malpractice and other catastrophic loss lawsuits in both state and federal court. His defense of such high-stakes litigation matters in both Illinois and Missouri has included matters involving mental health/suicide, neurological, obstetrical, neonatal, pediatric, cardiothoracic, gastroenterological and other traumatic injuries and losses. Quinn leverages his experience as a registered nurse with experience in both direct patient care and health care administration to skillfully counsel his clients through difficult health care-related matters.
Schroepfer focuses her practice on commercial finance transactions. With more than 20 years of experience, she represents both lenders and borrowers in matters involving asset-based financings, cash flow financings, secured and unsecured acquisition financings, real estate financings, leveraged buyouts, mezzanine financings, recapitalizations and refinancings. Schroepfer’s experience also includes the disposition and acquisition of distressed assets and loans, lease negotiations, purchase and sale transactions, real estate and other complex commercial transactions.
Winter handles a variety of civil litigation matters for insurance companies and corporations of all sizes. Skillfully advocating for her clients in both state and federal court, she has counseled corporations, contractors and insurers in cases involving transportation, premises and retail liability, personal injury defense and construction defects. Winter has experience from case inception to trial, including conducting depositions, drafting motions and briefs, and conducting discovery and legal research.
Two months into 2020, the firm has already added more than 30 attorneys and staff nationwide.
