Employment Attorneys Colin Barnacle, Chris Eby Join Nelson Mullins in Denver

Experienced employment and labor attorneys Colin L. Barnacle and Christopher J. Eby have joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in its Denver office. They join as partners from Akerman LLP, where they were also partners.

Barnacle focuses his practice on labor and employment and litigation. His labor and employment practice focuses on wage and hour collective and class action defense, employment litigation, compliance counseling, corporate governance counseling and investigations, noncompete, and trade secret enforcement. He also has significant experience assisting clients with affirmative action plans, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs audits defense, and pay equity analysis and litigation. His commercial litigation practice has spanned state and federal courts and arbitrations involving a wide array of areas, ranging from complex commercial disputes, construction litigation and dispute resolution, and intellectual property. He also represents various clients in the hospitality and restaurant sectors involving food law and food safety.

Eby focuses on wage and hour collective and class action defense, employment litigation and counseling, and noncompete and trade secret enforcement. He has represented employers before federal and state courts and agencies in a variety of employment matters, including Title VII discrimination and harassment claims, Fair Labor Standards Act and other wage actions, claims brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act, and noncompete and trade secret enforcement. In addition, he advises clients on employment issues, including policy interpretations, compliance issues, employee discipline, and employee termination. Eby also assists employers in drafting policies, handbooks, and employment agreements.
