Faegre Drinker today announced that Gregory R. Hall has joined the Denver office as a partner in the Corporate group. Hall comes to the firm from DLA Piper’s Phoenix office.
For more than 28 years, Hall has represented clients in securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring transactions, and other corporate and business matters. He advises clients on domestic and cross-border deals; capital markets transactions, including public and private offerings of equity and debt securities; tender offers and exchange offers; domestic and international joint ventures; venture capital and private equity transactions; bank financings; and debt restructurings.
“We are pleased to welcome Greg to Faegre Drinker, particularly during this exciting first month of our new firm,” Co-Chairs Thomas C. Froehle, Jr. and Andrew C. Kassner said in a joint statement. On Feb. 1, Faegre Baker Daniels and Drinker Biddle & Reath combined to create Faegre Drinker, a top 50 firm with more than 1,300 attorneys, consultants and professionals across 22 locations.
Froehle and Kassner added, “Greg is a talented corporate lawyer who shares our firm’s unwavering commitment to collaboration and client service. We believe that our clients will appreciate having access to Greg and his strategic approach to transactions.”
Jared B. Briant, the firm’s office leader in Denver, said, “Greg is an established dealmaker with significant experience serving as a trusted adviser to his clients. He expands our corporate law capabilities in Denver and continues our recent growth in the Rocky Mountain region.”
James M. Fischer and Keith P. Radtke, co-leaders of Faegre Drinker’s Corporate group, said in a joint statement, “Greg’s sophisticated transactional and corporate law capabilities are an ideal fit for our firm’s strong national and international platforms. His wide-ranging experience managing complex deals will provide immediate value to our public and private clients.”
Hall earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.
The fifth new partner in Denver this year, Hall follows the additions of Timothy B. Scull, Kirstin L. Stoll-DeBell, Andrew T. Pouzeshi and Kathleen E. Ott, who joined Drinker Biddle immediately prior to the firm’s combination with Faegre Baker Daniels. The four-partner Intellectual Property team came to the firm from Merchant & Gould P.C.
With 225 corporate, securities, tax and finance attorneys, Faegre Drinker’s Corporate group is one of the largest in the nation, serving as legal advisers to clients on their most strategic transactions and business decisions. Attorneys in the group have been primary securities compliance and corporate governance counsel for more than 50 public companies and are leaders in middle-market M&A, collectively working over the past three years on more than 750 transactions, with a cumulative deal value of $100+ billion.
