Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to grow its Denver presence with the addition of Jason K. Zachary, who joins as a shareholder in the firm’s Corporate Practice. He was previously a partner at Kirkland & Ellis in New York City and joins from BakerHostetler.
“Jason’s knowledge and experience across numerous industry verticals will help us continue to grow locally what is already one of our firm’s top-tier practice areas,” said Alan I. Annex, co-chair of the firm’s global Corporate Practice. “Greenberg Traurig’s collaborative culture will be well served by his breadth of experience in equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, various leveraged financing transactions and investments, private fund matters, corporate governance and SEC reporting, and related areas.”
“We are delighted to welcome Jason to the Denver office,” David G. Palmer managing shareholder of the firm’s Denver office, and Michael R. McGinnis, the office’s administrative shareholder said in a joint statement. “Having someone of his caliber and experience decide to join us speaks volumes to our strategy of delivering top-quality legal services in areas important to our clients.”
Zachary provides legal advice and counsel to boards of directors and senior management of corporate clients, as well as private equity and venture capital investment funds and their portfolio companies in a range of complex business transactions, ranging from public and private offerings of equity, high-yield and investment grade securities, leveraged buyouts, strategic mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures, to reorganizations, growth equity and venture capital investments, and divestitures. Zachary advises on IPOs, the “dual-track” IPO/M&A process, acquisition-related financings, and liability management transactions.
“Greenberg Traurig’s global platform was a big draw for me,” Zachary said. “My goal is to have my clients benefit from the firm’s talented team of attorneys who understand what is at stake and whose goal is to navigate them through their most complex corporate challenges.”
