Lathrop Gage today announced the addition of a three-person team of wealth strategies attorneys to the firm’s Denver office: Alison Zinn, Leia Ursery, and Doug Traeger. Zinn, Ursery and Traeger join Lathrop Gage from Lindquist & Vennum.
“Lathrop Gage is known for its strong Wealth Strategies practice, and with the addition of these three highly skilled attorneys, we will build that strength into the Colorado market,” said Patrick McRorie, partner-in-charge of Lathrop Gage’s Denver office. “The exceptional talents that each brings to their areas of practice will make Lathrop Gage a clear choice for a client’s trust and estate administration, litigation and planning needs.”
Zinn joins Lathrop Gage as a partner, bringing valuable experience as a trial attorney whose litigation practice is focused on trust and estate litigation, particularly disputes involving wills, trusts, guardianships, conservatorships, probate fiduciaries, beneficiary disputes, and heirs/beneficiaries. Prior to narrowing her focus to trust and estate litigation, Zinn honed her litigation skills through the representation of commercial clients in various industries. Zinn has been recognized as 2018 Denver “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in America in Elder Law and has been a Colorado Super Lawyer, Rising Star since 2013. She has been featured in the Denver Business Journal, Coloradobiz and 5280 Magazine.
Ursery joins Lathrop Gage as of counsel, specializing in estate planning, estate and trust administration and protective proceedings. Additionally, she has extensive experience in probate litigation, breach of fiduciary duty and removal actions, fiduciary surcharge actions and asset recovery actions. Ursery was selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America for 2018 and has been chosen a Colorado Super Lawyer for the last seven years. Additionally, Ursery was recently named a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
Traeger joins Lathrop Gage as of counsel and brings a wide range of fiduciary experience and knowledge. He specializes in estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate and trust litigation, guardianships and conservatorships, and elder law. His practice has handled a wide array of estates and trusts across multiple states and counties, often involving real and personal property, business interests, common law marriage issues, slayer statute issues, contested will and trust documents, and alleged acts and omissions of wrongdoing by fiduciaries of trust and probate administrations. Traeger was named one of the Best Lawyers in America for 2018 and has been chosen a Colorado Super Lawyer for the last ten years.
“As a firm, we are devoted to offering value-added counsel for high-net-worth clients,” said Cameron Garrison, the managing partner-elect of Lathrop Gage. “We are excited to add these three exceptional attorneys who will elevate our Wealth Strategies practice in the Denver area, as well as other markets in Colorado.
