Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Gerald (Jerry) P. Farano has joined the firm as a partner in the Denver office. Farano, formerly with Jones Day, will continue his energy transactions practice. Before joining Gibson Dunn, Farano was a partner at Jones Day in the D.C. office. Previously, he was also a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP.

About Gerald (Jerry) Farano
Farano focuses on complex transactional matters in the energy industry, including domestic and international M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances, financings and energy and infrastructure development projects. He has extensive experience with energy-related M&A in the power sector, particularly in the purchase and sale of renewable, fossil fuel and nuclear generation assets. He also advises clients on significant electric transmission and other energy infrastructure projects.
Farano received his law degree from George Washington University School of Law in 1991 and earned a masters of laws in taxation with distinction from Georgetown University in 1992.
