Lee Ewing Joins Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie Regulatory & Government Practice

Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP announced Lee Ewing has joined the firm’s Regulatory & Government practice as an associate in the firm’s Denver office with a focus on energy and utility regulation.

Ewing’s practice focuses on wholesale market-based rate filings with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), energy and solar tax-equity transactions, the sale of FERC-jurisdictional assets, and energy market structure issues. His federal practice also includes work on cost-of-service rate cases of both electric transmission utilities and natural gas pipeline companies.

Prior to joining the firm, Ewing served as a staff attorney for the Maine Public Utilities Commission (MPUC), where he participated in several complex matters concerning electric and natural gas utilities, including rate cases and certifications of public convenience and necessity. He also acted as the lead attorney for the MPUC on proceedings involving renewable energy incentives and policies, long-term contracts between generators and Maine’s electric utilities, and several cases stemming from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Ewing received his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Maryland.
