Holland & Knight today announced a significant expansion of its litigation practice in Denver with the addition of six lawyers. As part of its western expansion initiative, Armstrong Teasdale LLP is adding 10 lawyers to open a Denver office on October 1, 2014. The attorneys are all formerly of Denver-based Steese Roberts & Frankel P.C. Faegre Baker Daniels represented The Spectranetics Corporation, a Colorado Springs-based medical device company, in acquiring AngioScore Inc. in a $230 million cash purchase, along with contingent commercial and regulatory milestone payments. The transaction closed June 30, and was funded with the proceeds from a $230 million public offering of convertible notes.

Craig Richardson has returned to the international law firm Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the Litigation practice group. He had been general counsel of El Paso Corporation’s Pipeline Group, the largest network of natural gas pipelines in North America, for the past 10 years. Richardson will be based in the firm’s Denver office.
