Warner Norcross + Judd LLP celebrated its new Detroit office at a groundbreaking event held today in The District Detroit.
Located at 2715 Woodward Ave. in The District Detroit area surrounding Little Caesar’s Arena, the new building will further enliven downtown Detroit by transforming a surface parking lot into a five-story, 127,000 square-foot office building. The groundbreaking was celebrated today by Warner attorneys and staff, along with representatives from Ilitch Holdings and Olympia Development of Michigan, who were joined by representatives from anchor tenant the Detroit Medical Center.
“The Detroit Medical Center and Warner Norcross + Judd are two world-class organizations and we are thrilled to welcome them to The District Detroit,” said Christopher Ilitch, President and CEO of Ilitch Holdings, Inc. “Projects like this continue the progress and momentum in our City and in The District Detroit. We are excited to have both companies in neighborhood and contributing to Detroit’s resurgence.”
When the $70 million building is completed in fall of 2020, Warner will relocate approximately 55 attorneys and staff currently in Southfield into the 30,000 square foot space as the sole tenant of the third floor. The space will feature more than 70 offices and conference rooms, with room to grow as Warner expands its presence in Southeast Michigan.

Dozeman. “The new office, centrally located in The District Detroit, demonstrates our commitment to the city and will help us to more efficiently serve our clients and provide additional growth opportunities.”
Warner’s Detroit office will incorporate the latest building design trends to create an efficient, welcoming space that fits the way the practice of law is evolving. It will include collaborative work areas, flexible conference rooms and a lounge overlooking Woodward Avenue.
“In what is fast becoming a more virtual world, we wanted an office that would attract both clients and new recruits,” said Linda Paullin-Hebden, executive partner of Warner’s Southfield office. “Our new office will become a destination. When our local clients come downtown to attend an event, we can welcome them into our space, perhaps just to relax or to find a quiet place to finish their work.
“For our clients visiting the city, we want them to be close to all that Detroit has to offer. And for our clients who are already located in the downtown area, we’re now just a QLine stop away. The District Detroit checked all the boxes.”
