Vinson & Elkins LLP advised TVM Capital MENA in connection with their majority acquisition of Manzil Health Care Services, a provider of 24-hour homecare and rehabilitation services for both adult and children patients. Head quartered in Abu Dhabi, Manzil Health Care Services, formally known as Emirates Outreach Healthcare Services, was founded in 2011 by Dr. Ghuwaya Al Neyad. Manzil also has a branch office in Ras Al Khaimah.
V&E previously represented TVM Capital MENA on its investment with UK-based Bourn Hall International, which brought the In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) concept to the GCC. Bourn Hall was the world’s first IVF clinic, pioneering the first birth of a child conceived using IVF in 1978. Bourn Hall founder, Dr. Bob Edwards, was awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize in Medicine for the invention. In addition, V&E also previously advised TVM Capital MENA on its investment with Pro Vita, the first (and only) long-term care and rehabilitation facility for patients requiring ventilator support in the UAE.
