Mayer Brown announced today that Anne Wicks joined the firm as a partner in its Global Energy group in Dubai, where she will focus on project development, corporate and finance transactions in the Middle East involving upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), power (including renewables), water and other infrastructure areas including PPPs. Anne joins from White & Case, where she was the managing partner of its Doha office.

King & Spalding has recruited projects lawyer Brendan Hundt as a partner in its Corporate, Finance and Investments (CFI) practice group in the United Arab Emirates. Hundt will split time between the firm’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices as a member of its Middle East Energy and Project Finance team. Hundt was most recently a partner in the Dubai office of Shearman & Sterling.
