Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse, full-service business law firm, announced that Scott A. Boyer and Cassandra J. Jeffries have joined the firm in South Florida as Partners. Mr. Boyer, who joins the firm’s Miami office, focuses his practice on Insurance and General Liability Defense, including Premises Liability, First Party Property Insurance, Negligent Security, Product Liability, Automobile Negligence, and Personal Injury Protection. Ms. Jeffries, who joins the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, handles First Party Insurance Defense, Property and Casualty Claims, and general Civil Litigation matters.
boyer_scott-hoverMr. Boyer has significant civil trial experience and has tried numerous cases to verdict. Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, he served as in-house counsel for a large insurance company handling automobile-related lawsuits, including bodily injury, personal injury protection, property damage, uninsured motorist, and subrogation matters. Additionally, he spent many years as a trial attorney at a national law firm where he handled a wide spectrum of insurance defense matters.
Mr. Boyer’s diverse background includes serving as a full-time lecturer at the State University of New York and as a Faculty Advisor for the SUNY Mock Trial Team. He was also a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Actor in Los Angeles, a copywriter for a production company and is a published children’s book author. Mr. Boyer graduated from the University of Florida and went on to receive his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Jeffries_Cassandra-hoverMs. Jeffries has years of experience representing insurance companies in First Party and Third Party matters. Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, she was a litigation attorney in Boca Raton representing financial institutions in contested foreclosure matters focusing on trials, depositions, and evidentiary hearings. She has conducted depositions of party-opponents, medical providers and witnesses along with defending individual and corporate clients during depositions.
Ms. Jeffries received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History with minors in Politics and Theatre from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. While earning her law degree at St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, she served as a Research Assistant as well as a Legal Intern for the Honorable Stephen T. Brown, Southern District of Florida. She also served as the Senior Articles Editor on the Board of Editors of the Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court team.
