Dentons Continues to Expand Banking and Capital Markets Practices With New Partner

Global law firm Dentons is delighted to confirm that banking regulatory and structured finance expert Michael Huertas will be joining as a partner in the Frankfurt office, effective April 10, 2018. He will strengthen the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice areas led by partners Arne Klüwer and Robert Michels.

Michael Huertas advises global banks, financial institutions and alternative investment funds on structured finance, securities lending, complex derivatives, banking regulatory and FinTech matters. In the field of financial market supervision, he specifically focuses on issues relating to the EU’s Banking Union, the Capital Markets Union and other workstreams of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Supervisory Authority. He also advises on BREXIT preparatory projects, as well as financial market infrastructure, custody and collateral matters. Mr. Huertas has extensive in-house experience at a major international bank in London and at the ECB. Before joining Dentons, he practiced at two renowned international law firms.
