Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP announced today that Katrin Gänsler will join as a German Tax Partner, resident in the Frankfurt office. Ms. Gänsler advises predominately international companies on general corporate tax matters, corporate reorganisations with a strong cross-border focus, M&A transactions and tax litigations. She also counsels clients on special real estate transfer tax and VAT projects.
Ms. Gänsler further expands Fried Frank’s offering in Frankfurt, which has been growing over the past year with the arrivals of Steffen Schellschmidt as a finance partner and Dr. Christian Kleeberg as a mergers and acquisitions and private equity partner.

Before joining Fried Frank, Ms. Gänsler was Associated Partner in the tax department of Noerr LLP. Previously, she worked for nearly eight years in the tax department of Allen & Overy LLP.
While Ms. Gänsler is not admitted to practice law, she is admitted to the Frankfurt Chamber of Tax Consultants and Chamber of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a member of the German Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IDW) and a member of its Corporate Income Tax working group.
