International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that Ingo Kleutgens has joined the Firm’s Frankfurt office as a partner. He is part of Weil’s global Tax practice.
“Ingo’s stellar reputation in the market, coupled with his wide range of experience, especially at the intersection of private equity and tax, makes him a great fit for Weil,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “He will further strengthen our Tax practice, which regularly advises on some of the biggest, most complex and highest profile domestic and cross-border transactions around the world.”

Dr. Kleutgens joins Weil from the Frankfurt office of Mayer Brown, where he was a partner. He has a wide range of experience advising on all tax issues related to corporate and finance transactions. Dr. Kleutgens is dual-qualified as a lawyer and tax consultant (Steuerberater), and is a certified advisor for international tax law (Fachberater Internationales Steuerrecht). He also served as vice president of the Hessian Chamber of Tax Consultants, and he is a member of the Committee on International Tax Law at the Federal Chamber of Tax Consultants.
