Global law firm White & Case LLP has announced that it will strengthen its German tax practice with the addition of Dr. Bodo Bender as a partner in its Frankfurt office.
Dr. Bender, who will join the Firm’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, is a tax lawyer who has focused on the structuring of complex domestic and cross-border mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings, working on behalf of sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions and large corporates.
“Bodo is a top tier lawyer with extensive deal experience and an excellent reputation with his clients,” said White & Case partner Markus Hauptmann, the Firm’s Regional Section Head in Germany. “We will be very pleased to welcome him to the Firm.”
“His established track record as a tax lawyer aligns with the Firm’s global strategy to strengthen our M&A practice, in which tax advice is structurally integral to transactions from inception to maturity. He’s therefore an ideal strategic fit for our German and cross-border ambitions and will bring additional breadth to our German tax practice.”
Dr. Bender will join White & Case from Shearman & Sterling LLP.
