Jones Day Welcomes Intellectual Property Partner Bojan Savic in Munich

The global law firm Jones Day is pleased to announce that Dr. Bojan Savic has joined the Firm’s Munich Office as a partner in its Intellectual Property Practice.

“Our European IP practice continues to grow in reputation and expand across industries,” said Anthony Insogna, co-leader of Jones Day’s Global Intellectual Property Practice. “Our continued success has led to the addition of talented lawyers such as Bojan who further strengthens our life science and IP practice in Germany.”

Before joining Jones Day, Dr. Savic started his own firm, Savic Patentanwälte, in 2007. Prior to that, he was a partner at Viering & Jentschura, a Munich-based IP boutique firm. He began his career in 1994 as a European patent and trademark attorney and German patent attorney and, after passing the German patent bar exam, worked in-house at Motorola.

Dr. Savic graduated in chemistry from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, earned a masters degree in chemistry from Columbia University, New York, and a doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in bio-organic chemistry from the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg, Germany. His IP practice focuses on patent counseling, prosecution, due diligence, and oppositions for clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, and biotechnology industries.

“Bojan is another important arrival to further expand our capabilities and resources in the German market. We are pleased to welcome him in Munich.” said Friederike Göbbles, Partner-in-Charge of the Munich Office. Jones Day was recently nominated as “JUVE Law Firm of the year for IP.”
