Skadden Broadens Capital Markets Coverage With Hire of Two Leading Partners in Frankfurt

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates has expanded its international capital markets team with the hire of high-profile partners Stephan Hutter and Katja Kaulamo in Frankfurt.

Mr. Hutter, who currently heads the European capital markets practice of another international law firm, has a broad range of experience in international securities offerings by European companies, including initial public offerings, rights offerings, and high-yield and other debt capital raisings. Ms. Kaulamo focuses on corporate and capital markets law, including IPOs and capital increases, offerings of convertible and hybrid instruments and offerings of investment grade and high-yield instruments. Both Mr. Hutter and Ms. Kaulamo are recommended as leading lawyers in JUVE, Chambers Global, The Legal 500 EMEA and IFLR.
Skadden’s European practice leader, Bruce Buck, said: “We are delighted that Stephan and Katja have agreed to join us. Their arrival will enhance our German law and German language offerings for corporate, private equity and investment banking clients in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as increase the breadth of our broader European cross-border corporate transactions practice. Our ability to deliver innovative capital market solutions is critical to our clients, particularly in an environment where the availability of bank lending may be limited by increased capital and other regulatory requirements.”
Skadden offers fully integrated European and U.S. advice across its European platform, which includes offices in London, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Moscow and Vienna. Our lawyers advise on capital markets, M&A and private equity, EU competition, tax, investment management, restructuring, banking, corporate investigations and dispute resolution issues.
