International law firm Simmons & Simmons has hired a three partner team from Dewey & LeBoeuf to join its Frankfurt office. This is subject to the usual regulatory approval.
The new partners are:
- Volker Holl, Corporate (focuses on M&A and corporate finance, particularly in the real estate market)
- Bernulph von Crailsheim, Tax (focuses on transactional tax and structuring issues for investment funds, particularly private equity and real estate funds)
- Jochen Terpitz, Projects (project finance, infrastructure, renewables and energy regulatory issues).
The new partners will join the firm on 15 May, together with four associates.
Commenting on the appointments, Germany Country Head at Simmons & Simmons, Hans-Hermann Aldenhoff, said: “This outstanding team of lawyers will make an excellent addition to our offering in Frankfurt, and come as part of our plans to significantly expand our offering in Germany. The team will ensure we are even better placed to service our clients in the Financial Institutions, Asset Management and Energy & Infrastructure sectors.”
