Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Dr. Jörn Kassow has joined the firm’s Hamburg office. Kassow has extensive experience practicing in the area of public planning, building and environmental law. He is a leading public law specialist with deep knowledge in a number of business sectors and across a wide range of administrative proceedings.
Over the years, Kassow has advised on a number of high profile matters related to numerous landmark projects from shopping centers to energy and infrastructure projects, from large-scale leisure and tourism developments to complex M&A and real estate transactions. He is also a formidable trial litigator who has had many years of experience before all levels of the German public law courts.

Kassow joins Latham & Watkins from White & Case where he practiced in the Hamburg office since September 2005. He completed the Second German State Exam in Hamburg’s Hanseatic Higher Regional Court and received a Dr. jur. from Georg-August-University in Göttingen in 2005.
