The international law firm Bryan Cave LLP (www.bryancave.com) today announced the addition of four new partners and five other legal professionals to the firm’s Atlanta office. The new group, led by partners Scott Hobby, Charles F. Hollis III, Derek C. Johnston, and Sean D. Christy, will join Bryan Cave to continue a pre-eminent international practice focusing on outsourcing.
Atlanta is one of Bryan Cave’s largest offices, with more than 110 lawyers practicing in the areas of banking, business and finance, employment, real estate, and litigation. The office has a long and established history of working with large and mid-sized international organizations, providing a wide range of services to clients in the world’s leading business and financial markets. The addition of this new group of attorneys specializing in outsourcing will further reinforce Bryan Cave’s strong presence in the region and around the world.

Mr. Hobby maintains an international practice with more than 25 years of experience. He is a nationally recognized innovator in the design and operation of onshore and offshore outsourcing and shared service arrangements. Mr. Hobby’s practice focuses on customer side outsourcing transactions, specializing in representing clients across the hospitality, banking, insurance, consumer products, electronics, airline, utility, healthcare, manufacturing, family and fast food, energy, logistics and online data/analytics industries. He began his career as an associate and partner at Powell, Goldstein, Frazer and Murphy. Mr. Hobby received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1973 and his B.A. from Emory University in 1967.

Mr. Hollis has concentrated his practice on outsourcing matters for more than 14 years. His international legal experience focuses on advising clients with respect to customer side outsourcing transactions, including the outsourcing of business processes, information technology outsourcing (ITO), applications development and maintenance (ADM) and human resources outsourcing, as well as matters concerning the acquisition and implementation of software systems. His practice spans a wide range of industries. In addition, he is registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Hollis received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995 and his B.M.E. from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992.
Mr. Johnston has extensive experience in the hospitality, banking, insurance, retail, consumer products, electronics, utility, energy and online data/analytics industries and brings more than 15 years of experience to Bryan Cave. He specializes in customer side offshore and onshore outsourcing transactions; software systems acquisition and implementation transactions; and transition services arrangements in merger and acquisition transactions. Mr. Johnston received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1994 and his B.A. from Brown University in 1989.
Mr. Christy focuses his practice on customer side offshore and onshore outsourcing transactions, software systems acquisition and implementation and telecommunications transactions and works with clients in the banking, insurance, consumer products, utility, energy and online data/analytics industries. Mr. Christy had extensive experience on the business side of outsourcing transactions before beginning his legal practice. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law in 2006 and his B.B.A. from Mercer University in 1999.
