Gregory D. DeGrazia has joined the law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP as a partner.
DeGrazia brings more than two decades of engineering and legal expertise to Warner Norcross. He joins the firm’s Technology and Intellectual Property practice group, which provides a wide range of legal services, including patent prosecution and portfolio management, IP strategy development, technology and IP licensing, trademark protection, copyright and related areas. DeGrazia focuses his practice on the protection of trade secrets and the international protection of intellectual property
DeGrazia joins Warner Norcross from Howard & Howard where he also practiced intellectual property law. Previously, he spent nine years with General Motors Corp. where he focused on advanced manufacturing processes, vehicle design, and technology development related to paint application systems. He also spent three years with PPG Industries where he drew upon his chemical engineering degree to support the automotive paint industry. DeGrazia’s experience in both the legal and manufacturing industries gives him unique experience to meet his clients’ complex intellectual properties challenges with sound business solutions.
DeGrazia holds a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University, a master’s in business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Detroit Mercy.
DeGrazia is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He will practice in the firm’s Southfield office.
A native of Metro Detroit, he resides in Birmingham with his wife Teresa, and children Erin and Katie Anne.
