Stites & Harbison, PLLC, welcomes attorneys Paul Durdaller, Member, and Valerie Richmond, Counsel, to the firm’s Atlanta office. Both Durdaller and Richmond join the Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group.
Paul Durdaller’s practice focuses on creditors’ rights, loan workouts and restructuring, troubled asset management and dispositions, bankruptcy proceedings and the related commercial litigation. He has more than 24 years of experience representing financial institutions and other creditors in all aspects of creditors’ rights. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Durdaller was the Managing Member of the Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy practice group at Taylor English Duma LLP of Atlanta. He has successfully represented senior management committees in several bankruptcy cases including management’s $175 million acquisition of Tender Loving Care Home Health Care Services, Inc., in its bankruptcy case.
Durdaller earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1987. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.
Valerie Richmond’s practice focuses primarily on representing institutional lenders, including national and regional banks, as well as other creditors, trustees, committees and receivers in all aspects of creditors’ rights and workouts, both inside and out of bankruptcy court. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Richmond was an attorney for Taylor English Duma LLP of Atlanta. Previous to that, she worked at the New York office of Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft and the Chicago office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. During this time she represented creditors, bondholders and debtors in all aspects of chapter 11 proceedings and related litigation. She served as special counsel to Enron and its affiliated Debtors in connection with their Chapter 11 proceedings.
Richmond earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Order of the Coif, 1998. She is admitted to practice in Georgia, New York and Illinois.
