Mr. Nettleton’s presence in Calgary and his focus on energy regulatory matters reinforce the firm’s well-known national bench strength in energy, power and infrastructure projects.

Mr. Nettleton’s practice focuses on energy regulatory, environmental and business law. He has significant experience in the regulation of oil and gas pipeline and electricity industries, appearing regularly before the National Energy Board and various provincial regulatory tribunals, including the Energy Resources Conservation Board, Alberta Utilities Commission, Ontario Energy Board, British Columbia Utilities Commission and New Brunswick Energy Utilities Board. He has represented pipeline operators and shippers, pipeline industry associations, oil sands facilities operators, power distributors, international powerline facilities, and domestic and foreign governments. He has also served as in-house senior regulatory counsel to one of Canada’s largest pipeline utilities.
