Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Henry Stewart as a partner in its London office.
Henry has an impressive track record in advising on domestic and international transactions in the energy and infrastructure sector, especially relating to power, mining, oil and gas. He brings strong relationships in the banking sector and particular experience in project finance, acquisition finance, syndicated lending, joint venture work and mergers and acquisitions.
Henry joined Watson, Farley & Williams on June 19 from Clifford Chance where he was a senior associate in the Energy & Infrastructure team.
Michael Greville, WFW managing partner, commented: “It is part of our strategy to build up our core practice areas and deliver the highest level of service to our clients around the world. The development of talent and bringing in strong lateral hires are key components of this strategy. I am pleased to welcome Henry to the firm.”
Robert Stergoulis, head of the Energy sector, added: “Henry’s experience and pedigree are a natural fit with the thriving Energy practice at Watson, Farley & Williams. Our strong relationships in the sector and cutting edge projects continue to attract the best talent to the firm. Henry will join another recent recruit Daisy East in the Energy team in London. Although we have critical mass to deal with the most complex debt and equity issues on energy and infrastructure projects, we believe there will continue to be more growth opportunities as clients see the benefit of our deep sector expertise.”
Henry Stewart said: “I am delighted to be joining Watson, Farley & William’s leading energy practice. The firm’s deep sector expertise and experience represent a leading offering to clients and I am excited to be involved with growing the practice.”
