Squire Sanders Boosts Global Capital Markets Team With New Partner in London

Squire Sanders announces the appointment of partner Matthew Doughty, who joins the firm’s Corporate and Corporate Finance practice in London from Dorsey & Whitney.

Mr. Doughty specializes in equity capital markets (ECM) and has a wide range of experience in transactions around the globe, on the New York, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London Stock Exchanges, including AIM. He also advises on securities compliance and governance, mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and fund formation.

Previously partner at Dorsey & Whitney, Matthew Doughty’s extensive ECM experience includes acting for an Indian infrastructure development company and a UK based technology company on their London IPOs and representing the underwriter on a secondary placing in an accelerated bookbuild (including a US private placement) by an issuer specializing in mobile banking technology.

Squire Sanders’ Capital Markets team, within the Corporate and Corporate Finance practice, advises issuers, sponsors and underwriters around the world on a broad range of public and private securities offerings. Recent transactions include advising cloud computing specialist Outsourcery on its AIM admission, Houston-based Cardtronics, Inc on its takeover offer for i-design group plc, and COFCO Capital Corporation in its US$100million commercial paper program.
