Richard’s regulatory expertise in advising clients on power project development, utility regulation and power trading is highly regarded among industry participants. He advises utilities and generation project developers on all regulatory aspects associated with their day-to-day business and new project development. Particularly noteworthy is Richard’s Aboriginal consultation experience as it relates to the development of large natural resource projects (including power projects). Richard has been counsel to Ontario’s only First Nation–owned transmission company (Five Nations Energy Inc.) for over a decade.
