Law firm Winstead PC welcomes finance and banking attorneys Timothy R. Ryan and Will Walker. Previously partners at Mayer Brown, Ryan and Walker bring decades of experience serving both domestic and foreign banks and financial institutions in a variety of financing and syndicated loan transactions. Both Ryan and Walker are shareholders in Winstead’s reputable finance and banking practice group.
Ryan has more than 15 years of experience representing both domestic and foreign banks in a multitude of financing transactions, including senior secured acquisition financings, bridge loans, corporate recapitalizations, secured and unsecured syndicated and bilateral facilities, and subordinated debt financings. Ryan’s experience also includes advising clients on loan restructuring and regulatory matters.
A member of the Loan Syndication and Trading Association, Ryan is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, the District of Columbia, and New York. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1996.
Walker has more than 13 years of experience representing financial institutions in syndicated loan transactions for both public and private companies, including secured and unsecured financings, cash flow and asset-based financings, first-lien/second-lien financings and sponsor-led and strategic acquisition financings. Walker also has transactional experience in a wide range of industries including agriculture, entertainment, manufacturing, and technology.
Walker is a contributor to various publications including the National Business Institute, the Southeast Regional ESOP Association, and the Institute for Paralegal Education. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina and received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law in 2000.
