Prince Lobel Welcomes John K. Markey as Litigation Practice Group Partner

Prince Lobel Tye LLP is pleased to announce that John Markey has joined the firm. Markey’s practice focuses on internal investigations and corporate compliance, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He is a veteran trial attorney in both white collar and complex civil litigation in state and federal courts.

Active in the community, Markey is Chair of the Board of Advisors for Project Hope, a Boston-based agency that provides a variety of services to low-income women and children, and is on the advisory board for the Irish International Immigrant Center, an organization that provides legal and social service assistance to immigrants from more than 100 countries. Prince Lobel shares Markey’s commitment to the community and has created a culture of support for a wide range of nonprofit service and outreach programs.

Prior to joining Mintz Levin, Markey was an assistant United States attorney and assistant district attorney for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where he served with firm partners Walter B. Prince and Elliot D. Lobel. While working for the Commonwealth, Markey was either lead counsel or co-counsel in more than 60 state and federal jury and nonjury trials.

He is a Fellow of the Boston Bar Foundation, past chair of the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Criminal Law Section, and past member of the BBA Task Force “Drugs and the Courts, a System Abandoned.” Markey was also the finance chair and senior advisor to his brother’s successful run for the United States Senate.

Markey received his J.D. from Boston College Law School, and his B.S. cum laude from Boston College.
