Hanson Bridgett LLP Grows Litigation Expertise by Three

Hanson Bridgett LLP is pleased to welcome two new litigators to its Sacramento office. Andy Stroud, who joins as a partner, is well-known in civil, commercial and federal litigation, as well as intellectual property litigation. Landon Bailey joins our firm as an associate. In addition, Erin Sedloff joins the San Francisco office as a new litigation associate.

Over the course of his legal career, Andy Stroud has served as outside litigation counsel for three California Governors: Governor Gray Davis, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Governor Jerry Brown. As litigation counsel, Andy has represented the State in many complex and high profile actions. He has represented both regional and national companies in commercial and business litigation as well. He is recognized as one of Sacramento’s top civil litigators and was named Best of the Bar by the Sacramento Business Journal in 2013 and has achieved an AV Preeminent® peer review rating from Martindale Hubbell.

Andy received his J.D. from Santa Clara University in 1986. He earned his B.A. from Claremont Men’s College in 1983.

Landon Bailey joins Hanson Bridgett as an associate. Landon’s litigation practice focuses on corporate governance and shareholder disputes, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters, and commercial disputes involving contracts, business torts, and unfair competition laws. Landon also has extensive experience representing government entities and representatives in litigation before trial and appellate courts concerning complex and politically sensitive matters, including Proposition 8, Proposition 83 (Jessica’s Law), and affirmative action. Landon has frequently litigated First Amendment issues, and has obtained dismissals of complaints against multiple clients through anti-SLAPP motions. He has also advised companies on international privacy law restrictions and obligations, represented investment brokers in FINRA arbitration proceedings, assisted with internal corporate investigations, and advised technology-intensive companies in complex intellectual property transactions.

Landon received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2005 and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2001.

Both Andy and Landon will reside in the firm’s Sacramento office.

Erin Sedloff resides in the firm’s San Francisco office and is a member of the firm’s litigation section. She has experience working with clients and teams of experts to manage electronic discovery and document production in complex cases. In addition, she has experience and a keen interest in water rights matters and real estate transactions.

Erin earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2012 and her B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in 2006.
