Seasoned Public Finance Attorney John Scally Jr. Joins Wolff & Samson as Member

Wolff & Samson PC is pleased to announce that John J. Scally Jr. has joined the firm as a member. Mr. Scally, who has more than three decades of experience in public finance, has handled complex financings throughout the country. He will add to Wolff & Samson’s bond counsel team, which is already recognized as one of the strongest in the region.

Prior to joining Wolff & Samson, Mr. Scally was a partner at Drinker Biddle in Florham Park, New Jersey where he worked on intricate financings throughout the country for a wide range of clients, including leading public finance investment banking firms, public power issuers, transportation authorities, nonprofit colleges, universities, hospitals, state and local governments, and private developers. He has represented the States of New Jersey and Illinois and several state agencies as bond counsel. Previously, Mr. Scally served as a partner at McCarter & English.

Wolff & Samson was recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal as the top bond counsel in the state for public financings in the first half of 2013, and by The Bond Buyer as among the top 10 law firms in the nation for its listing of “Top Bond Counsel: Negotiated Issues” for the first quarter of 2013. Mr. Scally’s successful track record in the public finance industry will further enhance the firm’s already vibrant practice. He will practice in Wolff & Samson’s Public Finance Group.

Mr. Scally is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia. He earned his J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at The Catholic University of America. Mr. Scally is a fellow and director of the American College of Bond Counsel and a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
