Corrs has further boosted its major projects and energy & resources capability with the appointment of Andrew Chew as a partner in its Sydney Construction group.

Andrew joins Corrs from Baker & McKenzie where he was a partner in the Construction group, specialising in major projects.  Andrew, who is a qualified engineer and a Mandarin speaker, was formerly with Mallesons Stephen Jaques.

Andrew has wide-ranging experience across various infrastructure and resources fields, including public-private partnerships and alliancing projects.  He has worked on a number of Australia’s most significant transport, mining, energy and water infrastructure projects, as well as public and social housing facilities.

Andrew’s most recent experience includes: significant LNG projects (Curtis LNG, Gladstone LNG); major PPPs (Peninsula Link project, new Royal Adelaide Hospital, Mundaring Water Treatment Plant); and rail infrastructure projects (Regional Rail Link (Vic), South-West Rail Link (NSW), North-South Railway (Saudi Arabia), Bangkok MRT).

Andrew has also advised on significant resources projects, including the Mount Owen Mine, Ravensworth North Mine and Ulan West Mine developments.
