Magnusson is launching its office in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, with a view to have fully integrated outfits in all of the Baltic States.
Magnusson provides integrated seamless services throughout the Baltic Sea Region. After the launch of Magnusson Helsinki and Malmö in March 2011 and January 2012 respectively, expansion to the Baltic States it is a natural step in the Baltic Sea Region strategy of the firm. This process has already been initiated and is on-going.
The office in Tallinn will be fully operational as of Monday 2 April 2012. Magnusson will provide full service legal advice in Estonia, with a special focus on corporate and commercial, M&A, dispute resolution, real estate, banking and finance.
The core team includes partners Siim Mägi and Indrek Veso who join from Glikman & Partners and Veso & Partners respectively. Indrek Veso specializes in such areas as corporate and commercial, dispute resolution, taxation, M&A and administrative law. Siim Mägi focuses on, among others, corporate and commercial, real estate and M&A.
“This move brings us to the next level in our pan- regional strategy. Our strategy is to cover all the countries around the Baltic Sea offering integrated seamless service, as the first law firm ever”, stated senior partner Per Magnusson.
Organic presence in the Baltic States will make it easier for Magnusson to apply its client service and quality standards in assignments involving this region.
The offices in the Baltic States will become an important part of Magnusson’s cross-introducing and client-sharing activities.
“We jointly identify and pursue cross- introducing opportunities involving clients with operations in more than one country in the region. For other international law firms presence in the Baltic States may not make sense, but in view of our strategy it is vital for us to be there, not least to fully capitalize on our cross-introductory potential” – explains Per Magnusson.
“We are proud to be a part of this successful international outfit focused on the Baltic Sea Region and very much look forward to jointly capitalizing on opportunities” – commented Siim Mägi, partner at Magnusson Tallinn.
At Magnusson all offices share the financial success of the whole group, which leads to an international approach, integrated offer and success for both the client and the firm.
Clear strategy, consistent growth and bold expansion of Magnusson have been recognized by the jury of The Lawyer European Awards which in September 2011 named Magnusson The Law Firm of the Year: The Nordics. As the only law firm from Northern Europe, for three consecutive years Magnusson has also been runner up at The British Legal Awards in the category of The European Law Firm of The Year (2009-2011).
