Cox Castle Adds Prominent Land Use Partner to Growing Orange County Office

Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, a leading California real estate law firm, announces the addition of Tim Paone as a partner in the firm’s Orange County office. A prominent and well-respected Land Use attorney in the region, Mr. Paone joins Cox Castle from Theodora Oringher PC. where he was chair of the Real Estate and Land Use practice.

“Tim and I have known each other for many years and I consider him to be an extremely talented and highly regarded land use lawyer,” said David Wensley, managing partner of Cox, Castle’s Orange County office. “He recognizes that our statewide presence, deep Land Use practice group and supporting transactional real estate and litigation breadth is one of the best platforms for him. He is a great addition to our team in Orange County.”
Mario Camara, a senior member of the Executive Committee for Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP, adds “Tim’s move to our firm is an important milestone in our continuing efforts to aggressively expand our presence in the Orange County area.”
Mr. Paone counts among his clients some of the top residential and commercial real estate developers in Southern California and his extensive land use experience covers most aspects of the entitlement process, including the California Environmental Quality Act, development agreements, natural resource issues, the Subdivision Map Act, the California Coastal Act, and governmental relations. He also handles CEQA, Coastal Act, and other land use litigation matters for his clients. He also represents clients seeking procurement, concession, lease, and other agreements with city and county governments.
“Tim has a stellar reputation,” said Clark Morrison, head of the firm’s Land Use practice group, which recently was ranked one of the top practices in the state by The Recorder. “I am looking forward to collaborating with Tim to expand our practice even further and develop opportunities based on his reputation, presence and enthusiasm.”

Mr. Paone said his decision to join Cox, Castle was not a difficult one. “It is one of the top Real Estate law firms in the state and with the recent addition of Dave Wensley as managing partner, I want to be a part of the firm’s growth in Orange County,” Mr. Paone said.
