McDermott Advises H.I.G. Growth Partners in Health Services Acquisition

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery LLP today announced that it successfully represented H.I.G. Growth Partners and its newly formed portfolio company, Community Intervention Services, Inc, (CIS), in the acquisition by CIS of Massachusetts-based South Bay Mental Health Center, Inc. The McDermott team also advised on the financing of the deal, which included both senior secured term and revolving credit facilities from multiple sources.

This acquisition is a first for CIS, which was established by H.I.G. in partnership with veteran behavioral healthcare executive Kevin Sheehan, to acquire, develop and operate a national network of specialized mental health and substance abuse facilities and community-based programs. Headquartered in Brockton, MA, South Bay is the largest provider of outpatient, community-based behavioral health services in the region.
