Saul Ewing LLP is pleased to announce that it has opened an office in Pittsburgh, marking its expansion into western Pennsylvania.
The office, the firm’s 11th, will be staffed by four attorneys from the Pittsburgh office of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis. Their practices include corporate finance, business counseling, tax and mergers and acquisitions.
“We are excited to have a foothold in western Pennsylvania with this highly regarded group of attorneys,” said Managing Partner David S. Antzis. “Establishing a Pittsburgh office is a natural expansion for Saul Ewing and cements our Pennsylvania presence by giving us full coverage from one end of the state to the other. We were intent on finding attorneys whose experience complements our existing practices. We hit the mark on all counts.”
He said the firm’s plan is to grow the Pittsburgh office.
Jay L. Panzarella, Adam F. Kelson and David R. Berk will join as partners in the Business and Finance practice. Christopher Roberts will join as an associate in Business and Finance. The four-attorney team brings to the firm substantial experience and contacts in the Pittsburgh market. One staff member also will join.
“Speaking on behalf of my colleagues, we are proud and enthusiastic to open Saul Ewing’s Pittsburgh office,” said Panzarella. “There is tremendous opportunity in western Pennsylvania and we are eager to build on Saul Ewing’s excellent reputation in this part of the state and region.”
