Frost Brown Todd LLC announced today that it is merging with Nashville law firm MGLAW, PLLC, effective June 1, 2012.
In December, Frost Brown Todd announced that it will relocate its Nashville office to the 18th and 19th floors of the Pinnacle at Symphony Place to accommodate the firm’s growth. MGLAW’s seven attorneys and staff will join Frost Brown Todd’s Nashville office in the new space, and will assume the name Frost Brown Todd. The resulting merger will increase the size of the Nashville office to 23 lawyers.
“We are excited about the union of MGLAW and Frost Brown Todd’s legal talents, and its resulting benefits for our clients,” said Frost Brown Todd Chairman, John R. Crockett. “MGLAW offers an accomplished roster of lawyers, adding additional depth and expertise to Frost Brown Todd’s Nashville team.”
“This is a great opportunity for MGLAW to complement and expand our services,” said Robert J. Mendes, Managing Member of MGLAW. “Joining forces with Frost Brown Todd will allow us to increase our ability to guide clients to excellent business solutions.”
The merger offers unique benefits to both firms’ clients and is in line with Frost Brown Todd’s strategic plan for the Nashville market. MGLAW’s clients will gain access to Frost Brown Todd’s full service resources in areas such as general corporate, commercial transactions and finance, traditional labor and employment, patent, trademark and copyright, environmental, international, and real estate law. Frost Brown Todd’s clients will benefit by adding additional depth and expertise to the areas of business litigation, business bankruptcy and business planning.
Mekesha Montgomery, Member-in-Charge of Frost Brown Todd’s Nashville office added, “We’re pleased to partner with a group of attorneys who are so trusted and respected. The attorneys of MGLAW will help us better understand the perspective of Nashville clients.”
