The Charleston office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Richard A. Farrier Jr. as a partner in its commercial disputes practice. Farrier joins K&L Gates from Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, where he was Managing Partner of the firm’s Charleston office.
Farrier is a trial lawyer who represents companies in complex, high stakes litigation matters involving claims of, among others, financial and securities fraud, breach of contract, partnership and shareholder breaches, deceptive trade and business practices, trademark and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and defective products.
“Richard is a true bet-the-company trial lawyer with extensive experience handling complicated business, intellectual property, and product liability disputes who will greatly enhance the firm’s ability to meet the litigation needs of our existing clients in South Carolina and around the world, as well as K&L Gates’ multinational clients doing business here,” said Walker Coleman, Administrative Partner of K&L Gates’ Charleston office.
Farrier is the first partner to join K&L Gates’ Charleston office since its opening in December.
